Consultation on Works for Tree Tops Project Development at Castlewellan Forest Park

We are developing plans for environmental improvements at Castlewellan Forest Park to support the wider Tree Tops Project.

We want to hear your views on the proposed works and invite you to review the plans and take part in the consultation.

What is Proposed?

The proposed improvements include:

• A new overspill parking area.
• Improvements to the existing vehicle access from Castle Avenue.
• New lighting within the Grange Courtyard car park.
• New lighting along pedestrian routes linking the overspill car park, Castle Avenue and the Peace Maze.
• Resurfacing and realignment of existing footpaths.
• Associated environmental and access improvements.

These enabling works form part of wider planned developments within Castlewellan Forest Park and are intended to support the separate Tree Tops Initiative.

Public Consultation Event

Join us at our public consultation event to view the proposals and speak with members of the project team.

Time: 4.00pm to 8.00pm
Venue: The Lodge Culture and Business Centre, 1 Dublin Road, Castlewellan, BT31 9AG

The event will include a display of the proposed plans, and representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss the proposals.
