Right Now, We're Recruiting at Kilkeel Leisure Centre 

Kilkeel Leisure Centre is being transformed through a major refurbishment, creating a modern, welcoming facility for the local community. As part of this, we’re recruiting for a range of leisure roles. Working in leisure is varied, active and people focused. Our teams help customers stay safe, build confidence, improve fitness and enjoy high-quality facilities.

Every role plays a part in delivering a positive experience for the public.

Lifeguard/Leisure Attendants help keep customers safe in the pool and surrounding areas. The role includes pool supervision, supporting swimming sessions, checking safety standards and responding quickly and calmly when needed. It suits people who are alert, responsible and confident working with the public. Salary: Scale 3, £27,274 - £27,709 per annum. 10% shift allowance or enhancements may apply. Apply HERE.

Swimming Teachers help children and adults learn to swim, build confidence in the water and develop a skill for life. The role involves planning and delivering lessons, encouraging learners and helping them progress at their own pace. Salary: Scale 5, £30,515 - £33,119 per annum. Apply HERE.

Health and Fitness Instructor/Coaches support customers in the gym and fitness areas. The role includes giving advice on safe exercise, preparing fitness programmes, supporting classes and helping people improve their health and wellbeing. Salary: Scale 5, £30,515 - £33,119 per annum. 10% shift allowance or enhancements may apply. Apply HERE.

Cleaners play an important role in keeping the centre clean, safe and welcoming. The role includes cleaning public areas, changing rooms and facilities, helping maintain good hygiene standards and supporting a positive customer experience. Salary: Scale 2, £26,427 - £26,847 per annum. Apply HERE.

Leisure Supervisors help manage the day-to-day operation of the centre. The role includes supporting staff, maintaining service standards, dealing with customer queries and helping make sure the facility runs safely and efficiently. Salary: Scale 6, £33,673 - £36,581 per annum. 10% shift allowance or enhancements may apply. Apply HERE.

A reserve list will be created for future permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time and casual Lifeguards/Leisure Attendants, Health and Fitness Instructor/Coaches, Leisure Supervisors, Swimming Teachers and Cleaners or similar posts across the Council District.
