Newry, Mourne and Down District Council offers a number of grants and financial assistance programmes to contribute towards community and business projects.

Financial Assistance for Community Initiatives

New Financial Assistance Grant Manager is now open for registrations.

Financial Assistance 2026-2027 – Call 3

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council invites applications from the Community and Voluntary Sector (i.e. not-for-profit) and Businesses in Newry City and Downpatrick Town for Financial Assistance towards the thematic areas outlined below:

• St. Patrick’s Day Parade Fringe Activities Pilot Scheme

Please be advised, if your organisation received a Letter of Offer for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations through Financial Assistance or other Council funding, you will not be eligible apply for this theme in Call 3.

Note: Applicants can apply with a registered address outside the area, providing the project is implemented within the boundaries of Newry City and Downpatrick Town, as specified. 

Opening Date: Wednesday 16 September 2026 12noon

Closing Date: Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 12noon
