Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is responsible for the management of a number of Markets and Fairs throughout the district. Markets are held on either a weekly or monthly basis in the following towns:

Newry Twilight Market
Friday 1 November
Newry Market will play host to the successful Twilight Market held in the city’s unique venue, we would love to have you involved. The Halloween Twilight Market will be a showcase of our award winning local food and drink produce and vibrant restaurant sector along with our local crafts within the region.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to take part in our Halloween Twilight Market by hosting a pop up restaurant or marketing your produce or craft at one of the stalls on the night.
PLEASE NOTE WE CAN NOT FACILITATE TRAILERS TO THIS EVENT - YOU MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE FROM A STALL.
The cost to attend the market is £50.00 – this includes electric. This cost excludes other kitchen equipment, if you need kitchen equipment you will need to source this yourself.
Space is limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis upon receipt of payment of fees and then forwarding your completed application.
Completed forms need to be returned to Tracey Mooney via email or post (address below) no later than BY Friday 18 October at 12 Noon.

The monthly Castlewellan Market takes place on the second Monday in each month. Rental, if paid yearly in advance, is £12. A fee of £20 is charged if showing up on the day, and will be collected by the Council’s Enforcement Officer.
There are also three main fairs throughout the year in Castlewellan – on the 1 May, the first Monday Public Holiday in May and the 1 November.
Rental for the main fairs is £20 for a standard pitch and £30 for a larger pitch. Sites must be pre-booked before each fair takes place.
Bookings are accepted approximately six weeks before each fair.
Takes place every Saturday at St Patrick Square, Downpatrick, from 8am to 6pm. Rental is payable on a quarterly basis at a rate of £12 per week.
With over 70 stalls every Thursday and Saturday, Newry Market is the place to find fresh flowers and plants, fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of the finest local fish, baked produce, clothing for all ages, men's work wear, toys, handmade crafts and gifts, art, modern and vintage jewellery, handbag and accessories, shoes, antiques, bric a brac, rugs and furniture, all your kitchen and household needs and much, much more.

The charge in Euro will be determined weekly, in consultation with the Council's Finance Department.
