Commercial Classes

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council offers a wide range of instructor-led commercial fitness classes across our leisure centres.
Classes are suitable for all fitness levels, with low, moderate and high-intensity options available. Whether your goal is strength, fitness or overall wellbeing, there is something to suit everyone. Pre-booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

All commercial classes are included with our all-inclusive Platinum Membership or are available on a pay-as-you-go basis for £5.90 per class. Classes are open to those aged 16+.

What Commercial Classes are on offer?

Body Pump: A full-body strength workout using barbells and high-rep resistance exercises to tone muscles, burn calories and build endurance. Perfect for all fitness levels.

Bootcamp: A high-intensity, full-body workout blending cardio and functional exercises for every fitness level while building endurance and strength.

Circuits: A full-body workout where you rotate through a variety of stations combining cardio, strength and functional exercises to tone, strengthen and boost fitness.

Fit Ball: A low-impact workout using stability balls to improve core strength, balance, flexibility and overall muscle tone.

High Intensity Interval Training (HITT): Training that alternates short bursts of intense exercise with brief recovery periods, designed to burn calories, boost endurance and improve overall fitness.

Hybrid Power: A dynamic workout combining strength training and high-intensity cardio to build muscle, boost endurance and burn calories in one energising session.

Low Body Blast: A high-energy workout focused on toning and strengthening your legs, bum and lower body muscles through targeted exercises and resistance training.

Pilates: Exercises typically performed on a floor mat and with the use of specialised equipment. It aims to improve flexibility, physical strength, posture and enhance mental awareness.

Power Hour: A high-energy, full-body workout designed to challenge your strength, endurance and fitness in just 45 minutes. Expect a mix of cardio, weights and functional exercises.

Power-Bell: A full body kettlebell workout combining power and strength to build stamina, flexibility and overall muscle tone. You’ll swing, lunge and squat through varied exercises using weights suited to your level, helping you build strength safely over time.

Spin Indoor Cycling: Indoor cycling focusing on endurance, strength intervals and high intensity training using a stationary exercise bike.

Trim ‘n’ Tone: A low impact workout designed to increase muscle tone, in a circuit-based environment. Increase your core strength, general stamina, bone strength, improve your resistance to fatigue, joint stability and posture.

Yoga: An exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing.

Kilkeel Leisure Centre

Kilkeel Leisure Centre is currently closed for major refurbishment.

  3. Tap the Book Classes Tile
  4. Select your class & proceed to payment

Alternatively, you can drop into your local Leisure Centre to book directly with reception.
