Council has agreed a new contract with Marston Holdings Ltd to manage parking enforcement in our 39 off-street car parks.

  • The main change you’ll notice is that parking attendants will now wear blue uniforms. Their duties and legal powers stay the same, and any Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) they issue will still be valid.

  • Car park season tickets will still be available at most pay-and-display car parks for anyone who wants to pay in advance. If you already have a ticket, it will stay valid until its expiry date.

From April, all parking enquiries and PCN appeals will be handled by Marston Holdings Ltd.

Telephone: 0333 0068 351

On-street parking (parking on public roads) is managed by the Department for Infrastructure (DfI).

Council Car Parks

Parking Charges:

The current charge for all pay-and-display car parks is 50p per hour.

You can still pay with coins at the ticket machines, but for safety and convenience, we encourage you to use the RingGo app to pay by card.

Electric Vehicle Charge Points

There are 10 double charging units located across Council car parks.

These charging points are managed by private operators, not the Council.

Where applicable, normal parking charges still apply.
