Public Health Complaints
The Council investigates a range of public health complaints, including:
- Accumulations of dog fouling within residential properties
- Accumulations of household waste
- Problems with privately rented homes
- Drainage issues
- Bad smells or odours
- Dilapidated or run-down buildings
- Smoke, dust, or fumes
- Pest activity
In most cases, problems can be sorted out through advice and informal action.
If the person responsible doesn’t fix the issue, the Council may be able to issue a legal notice to make sure it’s resolved.
