Public Health Complaints
The Council looks into a range of public health complaints, including:
- Dog fouling
- Accumulation of household waste
- Problems with privately rented homes
- Drainage issues
- Bad smells or odours
- Unsafe or run-down buildings
- Smoke, dust, or fumes
In most instances complaints can be resolved through informal advice.
In most cases, problems can be sorted out through advice and informal action.
If the person responsible doesn’t fix the issue, the Council can issue a legal notice to make sure it’s resolved.
