What is Get Back To Netball

Get Back to Netball sessions are a gentle reintroduction to the sport for Netball over an eight week period. The weekly sessions (twice weekly in Newry and weekly in Ballynahinch and Ballymote) will be led by a passionate and enthusiastic Everybody Active 2020 Netball qualified coaches, each session covers basic skill development, court play and in turn will improve your physical and mental health.

Our aim is to reintroduce participants to Netball, improve fitness and to increase participation numbers in Netball as well as enjoying the social aspects of being part of a team. These sessions will cater for all abilities.

Who is it for

The none competitive Get Back To Netball programme is designed for those women (18 years and older) who once played Netball in school or in a club but have not played for some time. Please note this is not a competitive Netball Club and if you wish to join a Netball club then this programme is not for you. There are several Netball Clubs from across the district that play competitive Netball. Please dress appropriately for the activity and bring water. Please consult your doctor prior to starting any exercise regime.

When will Get Back to Netball NMD start

Newry leisure Centre every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm-8pm pm for eight weeks starting on 10 September.

Ballynahinch Community Centre every Thursday from 8.30pm-9.30pm for eight weeks starting on the 19 September.

Ballymote Centre every Thursday from 8pm-9pm for eight weeks starting on the 3 October.

Cost

The cost of the Get BackTo Netball programme works out at £2.50 per hour long session. The total cost of the programme will be required prior to the start of the programme
