Newry, Mourne and Down District Council offers a variety of scenic walking trails set against some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the region. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful woodland walk, an invigorating hill trek, or a family-friendly outdoor adventure, our trails provide the perfect setting to reconnect with nature whilst being active.

Each trail has something different to offer, from the wooded hills of Drumkeeragh Forest to the peaceful waterside paths at Windmill Hill / Lough Park near Ballynahinch.
