BeeSafe Initiative
Welcome to BeeSafe!
BeeSafe is a fun and interactive safety programme led by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council to help primary school children learn how to stay safe and avoid risky situations, especially as they get ready to move on to secondary school.
Delivered with support from local partners including the PSNI, Fire and Rescue Service, RNLI, Translink and health professionals, the sessions cover everyday topics such as internet safety, home and fire safety, water safety, wellbeing, bus safety and healthy eating.
Through hands-on activities, demonstrations and opportunities to ask questions, children gain practical advice and confidence to help keep themselves safe at home, online and in their community.
Download the BeeSafe workbook, which has been designed to accompany a suite of seven videos produced collaboratively by PCSPs across Northern Ireland. The workbook should be used alongside the video content when working with children, helping to reinforce the key safety messages and learning from each session.
