Monthly Direct Debit Packages
We offer an extensive variety of membership options to suit everyone’s individual needs whether you want to swim, participate in classes, work out in the gym or combine all three. Our memberships are:
1. Platinum All-Inclusive Membership
Enjoy unlimited multi-site access to our swimming pools, health suites, gyms and commercial classes in Newry, Down, Kilkeel, Ballymote Sports and Wellbeing Centre and Newcastle Centre.
2. Platinum Swim Only Membership
Enjoy unlimited multi-site access to our swimming pools and fitness suites in Newry, Downpatrick and Kilkeel Leisure Centre.
3. Silver Off-Peak Membership
Avail of off-peak access to EITHER Newry, Down or Kilkeel Leisure Centres from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday and enjoy access to the gym, commercial classes, swimming pool and fitness suite.
4. Gold Membership
Enjoy unlimited access to the gym in Ballymote Sports and Wellbeing Centre OR Newcastle Centre.
Family Membership- £49.99 per month
Designed for two adults and two children (aged 4 to 15), this membership offers a fun and affordable way for the whole family to stay active. Enjoy a range of facilities across Down Leisure Centre, Newry Leisure Centre, Ballymote Sports and Wellbeing Centre and Newcastle Centre.
What’s included:
- Unlimited swimming at Down and Newry Leisure Centres (pool admission policy applies)
- Unlimited gym access across all participating centres
- Unlimited health suite access
- Unlimited Council-led commercial fitness classes
- One free birthday party per child each year (hall hire or soft play options)
No minimum contract. Manage bookings and timetables through the NMD Be Active app.
Eligibility requirements:
- All members must live within the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area
- All must live at the same household address
- Proof of address required for each member
Children aged 4 and under can swim for free. Household members aged 16+ can join for £24.70 per month with a Platinum Concession Membership.
Bolt On Membership
Add up to 5 additional members from your household, onto a platinum all-inclusive or gold membership so you can all enjoy the benefits.
To ‘Bolt On’ a member of your household, simply drop into any one of our centres with your ‘Bolt On’ member and complete the application form. To be eligible, Bolt On members must be a resident at the same address as the Platinum member and evidence will be required. Please bring along a bank statement, utility bill or school letter.
Daily Rates and Pay As You Go
You can also come along to our Leisure Centres and Pay As You Go.

Concession Rates
Concessionary rates are available for children, over 60’s, full time students and those in receipt of benefits or means tested benefits.
If you select a discounted or ‘Concession’ membership when joining online you will be asked to upload present relevant proof of eligibility documents at your local leisure centre.
Corporate Memberships
At Newry, Mourne and Down District Council we offer corporate discounts on our Platinum All-Inclusive package offering great value for businesses and organisations. This gives members unlimited multi-site access to our gym, swim, health suite and commercial fitness classes across our centres.
