Making a Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and/or Data Protection complaint

If you are not happy with the way your request for information has been handled, the fee which has been charged, or if you believe that we have incorrectly applied an exemption or exception and wrongly withheld information, then you have the right to complain by seeking an Internal Review.

You can seek an Internal Review of our response by contacting the Head of Compliance. You will be advised when you can expect a response.

You can contact the Head of Compliance in writing or by telephone:

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council
Downpatrick Office
Downshire Civic Centre
Ardglass Road
Downpatrick
Co. Down
BT30 6GQ

Telephone: 0330 137 4000

Email: info@nmandd.org

If you are still dissatisfied after the Council has undertaken its Internal Review, you can ask the Information Commissioner to review the Council's decision, by contacting the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as follows:

ICO website: www.ico.org.uk

ICO self-service portal: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/official-information-concerns-report/official-information-concern/

Helpline: 0303 123 1114

The ICO will expect that Council's internal complaints procedure has been completed before any appeal is made to their office.
