“Sheet 2 Shape” Exhibition - Papier Maché works by George Callaghan
Following on from Hugh Savage’s exhibition, a papier maché display by fellow Kilkeel artist George Callaghan is currently on display at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre throughout the month of November. This really is an exhibition with a difference.
A self-taught decorator by day, he uses left over paste, card, and paper to create some unusual pieces. Previously on display in Kilkeel library, it is his paint affects that really stands out, turning the mundane into a spectacular piece.
George is currently working on a rock and roll theme.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said, “George has transformed paper and paste into really quirky works of art, come and have a look for yourself.”
The exhibition can be viewed Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
