Flooding Emergency Financial Assistance Scheme
The Executive approved an Emergency Financial Assistance Scheme on 10 March 2016 which opened for applications on 4 April 2016.
This is a one off scheme provided to deal with the unique circumstances caused by the heavy rainfall during the period 7 November 2015 to 31 January 2016.
The Scheme may provide flood assistance of £1,000 to any eligible non domestic properties and small businesses, including farm businesses, recreational and community buildings and places of worship.
Organisations who feel they may be eligible to make a claim under the scheme can contact the Health and Wellbeing Section on 02830 313100 for more details and an application form.
Closing date for applications: 30 April 2016
The scheme is being administered by the DOE and operated by the council areas affected and is jointly funded by DARD and DOE. DARD will also provide a technical assessment of eligibility in relation to farm businesses if required.
