Enterprise, Regeneration and Tourism Committee Minutes

The Enterprise, Regeneration and Tourism Committee is repsonsible for enterprise, regeneration and tourism activity across the district, and for protecting both the natural and built environment, in accordance with specific statutory functions, including planning development, management and control.

The Committee is also responsilble for helping support the local economy by developing and implmenting an integrated enterprise, regeneration and tourism product for the district; maximising and securing opportunities for regional, national and international investment; promoting and marketing the district to key staekholders; developing the district as a notable, premier tourism destination; developing a vibrant arts and events programme. It also manages the building control function of the Council, including managing building regulations, safety in the built environment, licensing and postal numbering.
