Hilarious New Production ‘Women Troubles’ Comes to Newry
On Thursday 24 May, Sean Hollywood Arts Centre will present ‘Women Troubles’, a new production by Belfast based theatre company, Pintsized Productions.
This new play is written and performed by talented trio, Siobhan Kelly, Clare McMahon and Maria Quinn and tracks their hilarious journey trying to ‘make it’ in the toughest industry in the world – the arts.
It follows them from the age of 13, when the three best friends first met whilst auditing in Belfast during the summer of 1999. They soon find themselves exploring first love, first heartache, GCSE's, unplanned pregnancy, sexual harassment, deciding to be an actor, going to drama school and trying to make it on the big stage whilst approaching 30 years old.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said, “Sean Hollywood Arts Centre is delighted to showcase this new work by Pintsized Productions. It is dedicated to providing affordable access to the arts for all our residents through a varied programme of high quality, live performances.”
Cllr Mulgrew continued, ‘Women’s Troubles’ comes to Sean Hollywood Arts Centre hot on the heels of the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival. It is sure to provide an afternoon of fast paced humour on a range of different subjects that undoubtedly many of us can identify with.”
The performance starts at 11.30am and due to some colourful language, it is only suitable for those aged 16+. To book your seat, contact Sean Hollywood Arts Centre Box Office on 028 3031 3180.
