NMD Be Active Launches New Family Membership

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is encouraging families to #GetActive this Autumn with the launch of a new NMD Be Active Family Membership campaign.

The Council is delighted to introduce the NMD Be Active Family Membership, designed to make fitness and wellbeing more affordable and accessible for families across the district. For just £49.99 per month, families can enjoy unlimited access to leisure facilities at participating centres (T&Cs apply). 

The membership covers two adults and two children aged between 4 and 15 years. Families can enjoy a wide range of activities at participating centres, including swimming at Down Leisure Centre and Newry Leisure Centre. Adults will also have full access to the health suite with spa pools, steam rooms, saunas, heated beds and a variety of fitness classes and fully equipped gyms.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Philip Campbell said, “We want to make it easier and more affordable for families across the district to stay active, enjoy time together and build healthy habits that last a lifetime. The new Family Membership has something for everyone - whether that’s swimming, the gym, fitness classes or simply having fun together as a family.”

Children included in the membership are entitled to a free birthday party every year, with complimentary hall hire available across our centres or soft play at Newry Leisure Centre only.

The membership is payable by Direct Debit with no minimum contract. Members can also manage their bookings quickly and easily through the NMD Be Active App, available to download now. For more information visit: www.newrymournedown.org/be-active-app.

Residents can sign up for the Family Membership offer by visiting any of our participating leisure centres. Memberships can be completed with a proof of address for each member of the family. Please bring along a bank statement, utility bill or school letter.
