Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Launches Recruitment Campaign for Kilkeel Leisure Centre

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is inviting people to be part of the exciting future of Kilkeel Leisure Centre with the launch of a major recruitment campaign ahead of the Centre's reopening later this year.

The revitalised facility will provide a modern, welcoming and accessible leisure destination for the local community, featuring an upgraded reception area, extended fitness gym, new studio space and enhanced changing facilities.

The Council is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the team in a range of roles. Opportunities are available for Lifeguards, cleaner, swimming teacher, Leisure Supervisors and Health and fitness Instructors.

To support prospective applicants, the Council will host a Recruitment Open Day at Kilkeel Bowling Pavilion on Monday 7 September from 2pm to 7pm.

The Open Day will provide an opportunity to learn more about the roles available, meet members of the leisure team, and explore the benefits of working for the Council. Council officers will also be on hand to answer any questions.

A reserve list will also be established for future permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time and casual positions, including Lifeguards, Health and Fitness Instructors, Supervisors, Swimming Teachers, Cleaners and similar roles across Council leisure facilities.

Applications for all positions open on Wednesday 2 September and close at 12 noon on Friday 18 September.
