Major Programme of Works to Get Underway at the Swimming Pool at Newry Leisure Centre
A major programme of works at the Swimming Pool at Newry Leisure Centre was agreed at a meeting of the Council’s Active and Healthy Communities Committee on Tuesday 19 March.
Essential works to address issues relating to the hydraulic system of the pool’s moving floor and the replacement of pool tiles will now commence.
The pool will now remain closed to facilitate the programme of works which is estimated to be completed in approximately six months.
The Council appreciates the disappointment this will cause and apologises to all of its pool users.
