This June, Newry Town Hall opens its historic doors for a vibrant Summer Showcase—three nights of unforgettable entertainment featuring powerful music, dazzling youth performances and laugh-out-loud comedy. The showcase kicks off on Thursday 19 June with a spellbinding performance of ‘The Juliet Letters’ by Newry Chamber Music, featuring the incomparable Duke Special. Originally composed by Elvis Costello and the Brodsky Quartet, this haunting song cycle explores letters written to Shakespeare’s Juliet. On Friday 20 June, Newry Dance Theatre Arts takes centre stage with ‘Lights, Camera, Dance!’ — an exhilarating end-of-year showcase. Then on Saturday 21 June, prepare for side-splitting laughter as Newry Youth Performing Arts (NYPA) brings the curtain down with ‘Stop It, Nurse!’, Sam Cree’s classic Northern Irish comedy. Set in a bustling Belfast hospital ward, this fast-paced farce is packed with eccentric characters, hilarious mishaps, and pitch-perfect one-liners.
