Community Assistance Centre Open Today in Down Leisure Centre
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council will be opening a Community Assistance Centre today (Saturday 4 October) from 12:30pm to 5pm in Down Leisure Centre, Downpatrick to support residents affected by the adverse weather and who are without power.
The Community Assistance Centre will enable residents who have been impacted by power cuts to come along to get a hot drink, charge your device, get a shower and speak to a member of NIE Networks staff who will be on hand to offer support and to answer any queries.
A number of additional Community Assistance Centres will also open across Northern Ireland from 12.30pm to 5pm today for those still affected by power cuts; South Lake Leisure Centre, Craigavon; Dungannon Leisure Centre, Seven Towers, Ballymena; St Maccartins, Enniskillen and Omagh Leisure complex.
